Scott Launier taught writing at UCF for 14 years. After serving 5 years as president of the UCF faculty union, he publicly spoke out against corruption and institutional racism at the University of Central Florida. He was then suspended without pay for 10 weeks and his contract has been non-renewed. March 19, 2021 was his last day of employment.
Scott is proud of his social justice accomplishments while a UCF employee and continues to advance social justice issues.
Currently, Scott has a camera and a bass guitar, and lives to fill every day with love, light & beauty.
